Awaken

Rugged mounds taken from the core
Pressurized to dust
Just add water or liquid of the life below
The heaving of men echoes through the cave
Stolen from the depths of one precious planet,
The dust is taken far, far, far away
It is molded into mounds of clay
And eventually, thrown away
After years, decades, centuries,
The element awakens
Opens its eyes for the first time
In over one million years
Memories of its home planet
Does not match what death lay beside it
